Hello, my name is David Malia and I've been professionally involved with computers since the mid 80's.  I've done programming, I've done analysis, and I'm an old hand with loops, databases, interface design, functions, structured programming, and the design and implementation of LARGE programs.

My computer programs have been trusted to manage multi million dollar facility budgets and have saved tens of thousands of staff manhours.  I've done financial programming, I've done health care programming, I've done state government programming, and I've worked with all levels of management to create reliable mission critical applications.  My proudest thing is not in bells and whistles, but in my programs making a positive business difference.

Im only interested in doing web/browser based applications these days.  I prefer to use php and mysql, but will use other databases.  I've been certified in HTML and other web technologies by brainbench.com for over 4 years.  I have a strong understanding of the web programming environment including php, cookies, databases, url passing, forms, automated email, client side javascripts, web site security, subscription systems, style sheets, dynamic page customization, protected directories, scrolling spreadsheat style listings with sortable columns, database query interfaces, graphics, and even internet audio!
